The Government of Assam has released the official notification for the
Special Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026. The examination is conducted
for Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) levels for candidates of
Bodo, Garo, Manipuri and Hmar medium as per NCTE guidelines.
Candidates who are permanent residents of Assam and meet the eligibility criteria
may appear in Paper I (Lower Primary) and Paper II (Upper Primary).
Qualified candidates of Special Assam TET 2026 will be eligible to participate in
elementary teacher recruitment processes, subject to fulfillment of other academic
and professional qualifications as per NCTE norms.
